Making good men better since 1817.

Organised Free Masonry has been in existence since the early seventeen hundreds.  These early Masons were focused on charity, relief and the enrichment of the community around them.  Today we hold true to those early Masonic values, and continue to improve the community around us by volunteering our time, making charitable contributions and rendering aid and assistance to those who need it.

What is Freemasonry ?

Freemasonry is a fraternity of brethren that has written records dating back to the early eighteenth century.  Members of this fraternity apply themselves to making themselves better through, service to others, seeking intellectual enlightenment through symbolic ceremonies, and for the fellowship provided by fellow members of the lodge.

What is a Lodge ?

A lodge is a group a Masons that has a charter from a Masonic Governing body (also known as a grand lodge).  This charter allows to operate within a certain area to prevent various lodges competing to one another.  Strafford Lodge holds a charter from the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire.  This charter allows to operate in Strafford County, New Hampshire.  Covering the Towns and Cities of Dover, Somersworth, and Rollingsford.

With the addition of over seven new Brethren over the past year, our lodge is as active as ever.  Check out our events calender to see when we are meeting next.
